allen international creates branch concept for Santander Select
Santander’s targeting of the mass affluent segment comes as Mexico’s premier banking clientele grows at the rate of 10% per year. Their Select clients do 60% more business with the bank than its regular premier customer base, meaning this is a potentially lucrative venture for the lender to develop.
In terms of getting its branch design strategy right, Santander turned to UK-based design consultancy, allen international.
allen international’s ‘Department Store’ branch concept considered a success by staff and customers.
Mauritius Commercial Bank, which controls 40 percent of the Mauritian banking market’s deposits, approached allen international to transform its head office branch from an unattractive, transaction-focused environment to one which was more customer-orientated. The open, modern layout and improved service levels have now been rolled out across 38 of MCB’s 40 branches leading to very positive feedback from customers as well as an increase in staff motivation.
Eurasian Bank, being an active player in the retail financial market within Kazakhstan, is looking to expand its client base and build a transparent full-service financial institution with an extended branch network. The bank currently offers a network of 18 branches and 47 client service centres throughout Kazakhstan.
allen international’s brief will be to develop the next generation of branches, incorporating customer-centric design principles and technology in order to deliver a highly differentiated and effective retail experience. The new retail design concept will extend from full service branches through to 3rd party in-shop kiosks that will focus of offering customer loans.
The concept should attract a cross section of new customers, offering a first-class journey for each branch interaction and further promote the bank’s brand values of being reliable, efficient and transparent.
